As the Seattle Seahawks prepare to take on the Baltimore Ravens and former Seahawk Earl Thomas in Week 7 on Sunday, the injury report for the team following practice Wednesday was longer than many may have anticipated. While it came as no surprise that the two starting linemen who missed Week 6, Duane Brown and D.J. Fluker, did not participate in practice for the team, the addition of three key members of the defense to the report was somewhat unexpected.
So, while Rashaad Penny’s hamstring has healed enough that he is no longer on the injury report, Bradley McDougald, K.J. Wright and Ziggy Ansah were all listed with new injuries. Whether these injuries are significant enough that they could impact playing time, or whether they were simply minor injuries that were enough to earn these members of the team some veteran rest on Wednesday, we will have to wait to find out.
The Thursday injury report will definitely be interesting in that it should help shed some light on the severity of these new injuries.
