HCA Co-Growing Multi-Specialty, EHR-Agnostic Ambient AI Platform

HCA Healthcare Inc., one of many nation’s largest suppliers of healthcare companies with 188 hospitals and roughly 2,400 ambulatory websites of care, is making an effort to combine AI into healthcare and remodel the best way affected person visits are carried out and documented throughout the HCA Healthcare community.

HCA is working with vendor Commure to develop and deploy an ambient AI platform throughout its community. Commure not too long ago acquired ambient AI firm Augmedix.

The multi-specialty, EHR-agnostic platform, co-developed by Commure and HCA Healthcare, is designed to assist important workflows in emergency departments, hospitalist operations, and ambulatory care. This answer is the product of a collaborative effort between Commure’s engineers, the Augmedix crew led by firm founder Ian Shakil, HCA Healthcare’s Care Transformation & Innovation division, and HCA Healthcare’s physicians.

“Our collaboration with Commure and Augmedix is bringing time-saving and progressive options on to the arms of our healthcare suppliers,” stated Michael Schlosser, M.D., M.B.A., senior vp of care transformation and innovation at HCA Healthcare, in an announcement. “By working straight with suppliers to combine AI into their workflows, we anticipate to unlock our healthcare professionals to spend extra time centered on affected person care, which is our final purpose.”

The deliberate deployment of Commure’s ambient AI suite is predicted to drive enhancements in doctor productiveness, affected person care high quality, and healthcare system efficiencies.

Commure, based mostly in Mountain View, Calif., is backed by corporations corresponding to Normal Catalyst, HCA Healthcare and Sequoia Capital Its choices vary from ambient AI and workers duress alerting to supplier copilots, affected person engagement instruments, and income cycle administration automation.
